Eva Rivas to Represent Armenia in Eurovision 2010

Sunday - Eva Rivas will represent Armenia in Eurovision 2010 in Oslo with her song Apricot Stone after winning the Armenian Eurovision Contest on Sunday, February 14.
There were a total of nine contestants - including Razmik Amyan and famous Armenian singer Emmy. Out of these nine contestants, Eva Rivas was chosen as the winner by the Armenian population. The results were just announced few minutes ago Live from Armenia's capital Yerevan. The singer, who according to some looks like Angelina Jolie, will represent Armenia this year in Eurovision 2010.
As Armenia has always done very well in Eurovision, coming up as highest as 4th in 2008 and always in the top ten, this is a very important victory for Eva Rivas.
Eurovision is very popular in Armenia. The country hopes to be the winner to bring the 2011 Eurovision to Armenia. This will be a great opportunity to represent the country to the world and would help the tourism, which is one of Armenia's flagship products to the world.
Eva Rivas was born Valeria Tsaturyan in Russia and is 22 years old. She grew up in Rostov-na-Donu and has been singing since the age of 7, including Armenian Songs.
She won Silver Medal in the Delphic Games and is taught by her maestro Ruben Matevosyan.
